New "Crisis On Infinite Earths" Poster

The CW has released a poster in anticipation for the upcoming “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover between the shows ‘Arrow’, ‘Batwoman’, ‘The Flash’, ‘Legends of Tomorrow’, and ‘Supergirl’.  Perhaps the most notable element is the prominent placement of Black Lightning (Cress Williams), who stars in his own CW DC show, which wasn’t, until now, connected to the other shows.  It was previously unknown how large a role Black Lightning would play, but it looks like he will have a significant presence.

Considering how much fuss has been made about the sheer volume of characters that will appear in “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” the poster is surprisingly spare.  Only three characters from ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ appear– White Canary (Caity Lotz), Heatwave (Dominic Purcell), and John Constantine (Matt Ryan).

LaMonica Garrett’s Monitor hovers above it all.  Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is front and center, while his supporting characters Cisco/Vibe (Carlos Valdes) and Iris (Candice Patton) also appear, as does John Wesley Shipp as an alternate Barry Allen, the sole-survivor of Earth-90.  Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is to his left.  Tyler Hoechlin appears as the “main” Superman, along with Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, David Harewood as J’Onn J’Onzz, and Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor.  Brandon Routh appears as the ‘Kingdom Come’ version of Superman.  And rounding things out are Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, Audrey Marie Anderson as Lyla Michaels/Harbinger, and Ruby Rose as Batwoman.  The background shows the red skies that were used throughout the original comic book story.

It is also confirmed that the following regular cast members will appear: Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers; Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor; Jesse Rath as Brainiac-5; Katherine McNamara as Mia Smoak; Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost; Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man; Tom Cavanagh as Pariah; David Ramsey as John Diggle; Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance/Black Canary; and newcomer Osric Chau as Ryan Choi.

Erica Durance will appear in the ‘Supergirl’ episode as Alura Zor-El, and in the ‘Batwoman’ episode as the Lois Lane from ‘Smallville’Tom Welling returns as the Clark Kent from ‘Smallville’.  (There is a rumor that Justin Hartley will also appear as ‘Smallville’s Green Arrow, but that seems less likely.)  Kevin Conroy will portray Bruce Wayne/Batman from ‘Kingdom Come’, also on ‘Batwoman’.  Ashley Scott will appear on ‘The Flash’ as Helena Kyle/The Huntress from the ‘Birds of Prey’ TV series.  Also set to appear, although we don’t yet know where, are Stephen Lobo as Jim Corrigan (possibly The Spectre), Johnathon Schaech as Jonah Hex, and Burt Ward, and possibly Robert Wuhl.  There is a rumor that Brec Bassinger will appear as Stargirl, but we’ll see.

“Crisis” kicks off on ‘Supergirl’ on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 8/7c (special time), continues on ‘Batwoman’ on Monday, Dec. 9 at 8 pm (special day), and ‘The Flash’ on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8 pm.  The shows will go on hiatus for a couple of weeks.  The story wraps up on Tuesday, Jan. 14.  ‘Arrow’ begins at 8pm, and the story wraps on ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ at 9pm.
