See Tom Cavanagh As Pariah, Audrey Marie Anderson As Harbinger In This Group Photo From "Crisis On Infinite Earths"

While most comic book adaptations are only loosely based on the source material, but ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ is one of the most famous comic book stories of all time.  Granted it starred hundreds of characters from DC’s entire publishing history up to ‘Crisis” publication in 1985-86.  But there are a few key characters that it would be hard to tell the story without, and The CW is delivering a few familiar ideas in its adaptation.

LaMonica Garrett began popping up throughout the Arrowverse last season as The Monitor, the heroic force attempting to rally the heroes of multiple parallel universes to prevent total annihilation.  Aiding The Monitor in the comic book was his assistant Harbinger, whose real name was Lyla Michaels.  Lyla already exists in the Arrowverse, as played by Audrey Marie Anderson, even though her storyline hasn’t really followed that of her comic book counterpart.  Even so, expect Lyla to adopt the Harbinger role in the crossover.

Another important character from the ‘Crisis’ comic book is Pariah, a mysterious figure who finds himself appearing in worlds that are about to meet their destruction.  It’s not clear how, but Harrison Wells (well, a Harrison Wells), played by Tom Cavanagh is the Pariah of this story.

Garrett’s Monitor, Anderson’s Harbinger, and Cavanagh’s Pariah are shown, fully suited up in the photo below (via DC Brasil), along with ‘The Flash’s Candice Patton (Iris West-Allen), Hartley Sawyer (Ralph Dibny’Elongated Man), and Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash), ‘Arrow’s David Ramsey (John Diggle), guest stars Tyler Hoechlin (‘Supergirl’s Superman), Brandon Routh (the ‘Kingdom Come’ Superman), and ‘Black Lightning’s Cress Williams (Jefferson Pierce/ Black Lightning), who is making his first journey into the Arrowverse, after two seasons of his show existing in its own vacuum.  Also pictured is ‘Supernatural’s Osric Chau, who is joining the Arrowverse in the recurring role of Ryan Choi, the new Atom.
