Arrow : "Crisis On Infinite Earths" Has Really Taken Its Toll On Green Arrow

We kind of already knew that “Crisis on Infinite Earths” was going to take a heavy toll on Oliver Queen.  It might even cost him his life!  Filming of the epic crossover event has begun, and ‘Arrow’ star Stephen Amell shared an image on Twitter, showing that things are already not going Oliver’s way.

Check it out below:

Amell added that he wasn’t wearing hair dye in the pic, noting his graying locks.

It was fated that Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) would die during the Crisis, but Oliver made a deal with The Monitor in an attempt to save his friend.  We don’t really know how the TV shows will adapt the comic book story, but it does happen to coincide with the end of ‘Arrow’, which returns on October 15 for a ten-week final season, which happens to fall right in line with “Crisis on Infinite Earths.”

Besides “Crisis,” ‘Arrow’ fans can look forward to numerous past cast members returning for this last lap– John Barrowman (Malcolm Merlyn), Colin Donnell (Tommy Merlyn), Rila Fukushima (Tatsu Yamashiro/Katana), Colton Haynes (Roy Harper), Willa Holland (Thea Queen), Josh Segarra (Adrian Chase), and Susanna Thompson (Moira Queen).  Some of their characters are dead, so it remains to be seen if they will appear in flashbacks or if they will factor into the parallel universes of the “Crisis” storyline.  Emily Bett Rickards will not return as Felicity Smoak at all.

Ben Lewis (William Clayton) has been promoted to series regular, and Charlie Barnett has joined the cast as John Diggle Jr. or J.J.

‘Arrow’ returns to The CW for its eighth and final season on Tuesday, October 15.
