It’s good to be King– Stephen King, that is.  The prolific author has had the honor of seeing the latest film adaptation to bring one of his books to life, ‘It: Chapter Two’, the sequel directed by Andy Muscietti.  Earning $327.48 million, the first chapter was the highest-grossing horror movie of all time, so expectations are high to see what becomes of The Losers Club after they grow up and most of its members leave Derry behind.  King assures that fans won’t be disappointed, having already seen ‘Chapter 2’, and that they will get their first glimpse of what to expect tomorrow when the first trailer drops!

It’s unclear which “noon” he is referring to.  It could be Eastern Standard Time, as that’s the first time zone in the US, or it could be Pacific Standard Time, which is the zone in which California falls.  Guess we’ll find out tomorrow.

While fans are excited about the second film, there is a bit of concern as to whether it can live up to the first.  Certain elements of the “adult” portion of the tale are more challenging– who doesn’t cringe at the memory of the chintzy spider creature in the original 1990 TV movie?  The grownup part of the story also involves the Losers training themselves to battle It when it returns.

But according to King, fans have nothing to…. er, fear.  (Well, not in that respect, anyway.)

‘It: Chapter Two’ welcomes a new cast to portray the adult Losers Club, James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough, Jay Ryan as Ben, Jessica Chastain as Beverly, James Ransone as Eddie, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike, Bill Hader as Richie, and Andy Bean as Stanley.  The younger cast will be glimpsed in flashbacks– Jaeden Martell as Bill, Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben, Sophia Lillis as Beverly, Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie, Chosen Jacobs as Mike, Finn Wolfhard as Richie, and Wyatt Oleff as Stanley.

Bill Skarsgård returns as Pennywise the dancing (and murdering) clown.  Jess Weixler portrays Bill’s wife, Hollywood starlet, Audra Phillips.  Will Beinbrink will portray Beverly’s abusive husband, Rogan.  Teach Grant plays the grown-up version of psychopath bully Henry Bowers, portrayed by Nicholas Hamilton in the first.
