It: Chapter Two

Two new cast members have been added to Andy Muschietti’s ‘It: Chapter 2’.  Teach Grant will portray adult Henry Bowers, the psychotic bully that terrorized the Losers Club in the first movie, and wound up murdering his own father and, in a deleted scene, his two buddies.  In a smaller role, Jess Weixler will play Audra Phillips, a movie star who marries Bill but bears a resemblance to Beverly (at least in the book).

In the first movie, Henry appeared to perish, but as detailed in the book, he eventually escapes the sewers and is arrested for killing his father, and the police wind up pinning all the It murders on him.  Driven insane, he is locked away in an asylum until It returns 25 years later.  Henry escapes and once again tries to kill the Losers, who have returned to Derry once they realize that It has returned to kill the children of the town again.  Nicholas Hamilton played Henry in the first movie.

Teach Grant recently starred on Netflix’s hit ‘Altered Carbon’.  Before that, he appeared on series such as ‘Damnation’, Van Helsing’, ‘Rush’ and ‘Strange Empire’.  He has also popped up on various genre shows like ‘The 100’, ‘The 4400’, ‘Almost Human’, ‘The Flash’, ‘Fringe’, ‘iZombie’, ‘Lucifer’, ‘Once Upon A Time’, ‘Supernatural’, ‘V’ and ‘Zoo’.  He also appears in the movie ‘Braven’ opposite Jason Momoa.

Jess Weixler has the role of Audra Phillips, who is married to a grown-up Bill Denbrough, who is a successful author.  When Bill (who will be played as an adult by James McAvoy) goes back to Derry to face It, he leaves Audra behind, but she travels after him, arriving at the same time as the escaped Henry Bowers and Beverly’s abusive husband Tom Rogan (played by Will Beinbrink).

Weixler starred on the AMC western drama ‘The Son’ and ‘The Good Wife’.  She starred in last year’s indie films ‘Entanglement’ and ‘Who We Are Now’.

They join Bill Skarsgård, Andy Bean, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, James McAvoy, Isaiah Mustafa, James Ransone and Jay Ryan.  ‘It: Chapter Two’ opens on September 6, 2019.
