Catch A Glimpse Of James McAvoy As Grown-Up Bill In 'It: Chapter Two'

‘It: Chapter One’ featured one of the best child/teen ensembles ever assembled in a film–  Jaeden Martell (billed as Lieberher) as Bill Denbrough, Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben Hanscomb, Sophia Lillis as Beverly Marsh, Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie Kaspbrak, Chosen Jacobs as Mike Hanlon, Finn Wolfhard as Richie Tozier, and Wyatt Oleff as Stanley Uris.  But as fans know, Stephen King’s bestselling book ‘It’ is split into two time frames, following the Losers Club as children in Derry, Maine, and as adults who are, much to their dismay, drawn back to Derry when the murderous force they call “It” returns after they have grown to adulthood.

Luckily, a group of talented adults has been cast to portray the Losers as grownups, including James McAvoy as Bill, the leader of the crew.  And now, a photo has been released of McAvoy as Bill in ‘It: Chapter Two’.

Yep, that’s definitely James McAvoy.

What the hell is up with his hair?  How is it so long?  He’s bald in every other movie– ‘X-Men’, ‘Glass’.  How did he grow that long lustrous coif between filming those?  That’s at least two years of growth!

Anyhoo… McAvoy will be joined by Jay Ryan as Ben, Jessica Chastain as Beverly, James Ransone as Eddie, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike, Bill Hader as Richie, and Andy Bean as Stanley.  Bill Skarsgård returns as creepy clown manifestation Pennywise.  Jess Weixler portrays Bill’s wife, Hollywood starlet, Audra Phillips.  Will Beinbrink will portray Beverly’s husband, Rogan, who in the book and the original TV miniseries was physically abusive.  Teach Grant plays the grown-up version of psychopath bully Henry Bowers.

Twenty-seven years later, the Losers Club have grown up and moved away, until a devastating phone call brings them back.

Richard Thomas of ‘The Waltons’ portrays adult Bill in the 1990 TV miniseries adaptation.

‘It: Chapter 2’ is back to haunt theaters on September 6.
