The Twilight Zone

CBS All Access has released two extended trailers for ‘The Twilight Zone’ debuting on April 1st.  The first, ‘Nightmare at 30,000 Feet’ stars Adam Scott and is a remake of an episode of the original series episode ‘Nightmare at 20,000 Feet’, which starred William Shatner as a plane passengers who is the only one who can see the Gremlin on the wing, tearing it apart as they soar through a stormy night sky.  There doesn’t look to be a Gremlin in this episode, but something sure has Scott worked up.  And that something looks like Islamophobia.  Actor Chris Diamantopoulos also turns up in the trailer, but will his presence help Scott’s character, or simply agitate him even further?

Greg Yaitanes directed this installment.  While ‘The Twilight Zone’ doesn’t have an official showrunner, Yaitanes oversees continuity between episodes.  Yaitanes won an Emmy for his work on ‘House MD’, and most recently directed episodes of ‘Castle Rock’, and ‘Genius’.

The second clip, ‘The Comedian’ stars Kumail Nanjiani and Tracy Morgan.  Naniani plays a failing stand-up comic who makes a deal with… well, whomever Morgan plays.  Yeah, outside of ‘The Devil Went Down to Georgia’, these Faustian bargains never go well, and this promises to follow that pattern.

Both clips feature Peele as narrator, a role he will fill in every episode.
