avengers: endgame

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ was 149 minutes long, but most would agree, it moved briskly.  But it wasn’t all-out action, as there were certainly quieter moments to convey the magnitude of the events transpiring.  In the follow-up, ‘Avengers: Endgame’, the heroes might be suiting up in new white armor in order to enter the Quantum Realm (we think), but you might want to suit up in some adult diapers if you don’t want to miss a second of ‘Endgame’.  It appears that the run time has been confirmed as three hours and two minutes.  At least that is what it is listed as by AMC theaters on its website.

RELATED: Could ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Have An Intermission?

This should come as no surprise, as directors Joe and Anthony Russo previously divulged that three hours would be roughly where this film would clock in.  What’s two more minutes?

There had been rumblings that Disney would insert an intermission, but that doesn’t look to be happening, which is probably for the best.  What good is a ten-minute break, when that many people have to hit the head all at once?

Earlier this month, Kevin Feige added:

“We’re gonna release the movie at the exact right running time.  I’m telling you this, it’s gonna be perfect. It’s gonna be the exact running time that the movie needs to be.

“I think there’s a lot of story in that movie and a lot of characters in that movie.

“In all seriousness, we don’t look at run times in terms of mandates, or anything like that. Every movie should feel like it’s an hour and 45 minutes. Now, some movies can be 90 minutes and feel like they’re four hours. And some movies can be three and a half hours and feel like 90 minutes. So for us, that’s what it … It’s, ‘how does it feel?’ And every version of Endgame thus far, and the ones that we’re honing in on, feel very good.”

So go easy on that extra large Coke in the commemorative souvenir cup unless you want to sprint to the restroom just before a major battle or revelation!

What do you think?  Is three hours too long?  Or are you just excited to enjoy every second of that ‘Avenger’-y goodness?
