Death will come to ‘Bill & Ted Face the Music’, as William Sadler will reprise his role from ‘Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey’.

In that film (originally titled ‘Bill & Ted Go to Hell’), Alex Winter’s Bill and Keanu Reeves’ Ted are killed by evil robot duplicates from the future and must beat Death at a game in order to return to life. In the end, they wind up winning at Battleship, Clue, and Twister and Death becomes their servant and joins Wyld Stallyns as they achieve their destiny to bring peace to humanity with their music.

‘Bill & Ted Face the Music’ will film this summer to be released next year.  Winter and Reeves are obviously returning and they made the announcement of the film’s production last week.  Dean Parisot will direct with a script by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, who both worked on the first two movies.  Reportedly, some filming has already taken place, beginning on March 5.

Sadler has been an in-demand character actor since the 1980s.  He starred on the 1987 series ‘Private Eye’, and went on to make appearances in the movies ‘Die Hard 2’, ‘The Shawshank Redemption’, ‘The Green Mile’, ‘Iron Man 3’, ‘Machete Kills’, and has starred or recurred on TV series ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’, ‘Roswell’, ‘Wonder Falls’, ‘Traveler’, ‘The Pacific’, ‘Damages’, ‘Homeland’, ‘Hawaii Five-O’, ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’, ‘Berlin Station’, ‘The Blacklist’, and ‘Power’, among many others.
