Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Reveals The Jet Troopers
Disney

A suit of armor from ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ labeled “First Order Jet Trooper” was displayed at the D23 Expo in September.  Since then, various toy versions of the Jet Trooper have been released, but fans still weren’t 100% sure what they were.  It turns out the name is pretty literal.

In a short 30-second clip from ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’, these new model Stormtroopers are shown in action, and the heroes seem pretty startled!  This marks the first full clip from the movie, not a trailer, even though it’s relatively short.  It’s not very SPOILER-y, unless you want to go into this film completely cold.  But if that were the case, you wouldn’t be on the internet in the first place.

Check out the clip below:

Boba Fett first appeared in 1980s ‘The Empire Strikes Back’, but until last week’s episode of ‘The Mandalorian’, it didn’t seem that anyone else in the ‘Star Wars’ galaxy had a jet pack.  Why not?  If the technology existed to make jet packs, wouldn’t everyone have one?  Especially the First Order, which consists of the remnants of the Empire, who used to rule the entire galaxy.  Wouldn’t the rulers of everything have all the latest toys?

The surviving Resistance faces the First Order once more in the final chapter of the Skywalker saga.

‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ was directed by J.J. Abrams with a script he co-wrote with Chris Terrio.  It stars Naomi Ackie as Jannah, John Boyega as Finn, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa (archival footage), Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, Richard E. Grant as Allegiant General Pryde, Greg Grunberg as Snap Wexley, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker (Force Ghost), Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Billie Lourd as Lieutenant Connix, Ian McDiarmid as Emperor Palpatine, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Daisy Ridley as Rey, Keri Russell as Zarii Bliss, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico, Jimmy Vee as R2-D2, Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian, and Dave Chapman and Brian Herring as BB-8.

‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ opens on December 20, 2019.
