Titans Season 2
DC Universe

‘Titans’ Season 2 is here.  The first new episode is now available on DC Universe, but if you haven’t had time to watch it yet, here are two new clips to tide you over.

A lot of attention has been given to the fact that Deathstroke the Terminator (Esai Morales) is entering the story in the sophomore batch and will be the Big Bad, but Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger with Dick Grayson falling under the control of Raven’s father Trigon (Seamus Dever).  So look for that situation to be corrected before Deathstroke appears.

In this clip (courtesy of Screen Rant), Hawk, Dove, and Jason Todd have arrived, but will they be any help against a force as powerful as Trigon?  (Mild warning, there is some adult language, so this isn’t 100% SFW.)

Perhaps the biggest reveal is that “f***in’ Superman” exists in this reality, although that really shouldn’t be a surprise, as clearly Batman, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman do, and are part of the Justice League, as discussed last season.

In the second scene, Dick (Brenton Thwaites) appears to still be under the influence of Trigon.  It’s up to Jason Todd (Curran Walters) to stop him, but is this new Robin a match for the original?

Walters has been bumped up to series regular for Season 2, so expect this Junior Robin to play a larger role in the story.

In addition to Morales’ Deathstroke, ‘Titans’ will introduce his offspring, Joseph a.k.a. Jericho (Chella Man) and Rose, the Ravager (Chelsea T. Zhang).  Demore Barnes will portray Wintergreen, Deathstroke’s assistant.  The team will also face another villain, Doctor Light played by Michael Mosley, as well as Shimmer played by Hanneke Talbot.

Thwaites is returning, along with fellow Season 1 cast members Anna Diop as Koriand’r/Starfire, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth/Raven, and Ryan Potter as Garfield Logan/Beast.  Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly are back in the recurring roles of Hawk & Dove, along with Conor Leslie as Wonder Girl/Donna Troy.

Also coming aboard for Season 2 are Joshua Orpin as Conner Kent/Superboy, Drew Van Acker as Aqualad (who may have a romantic connection to Donna/Wonder Girl), Iain Glenn as Bruce Wayne, Natalie Gumede as Mercy Graves, and Genevieve Angelson as Dr. Eve Watson.

The first episode of ‘Titans’ Season 2 is now available on DC Universe, with new episodes being released each Friday.  There are expected to be 12 episodes this season.
