Crisis On Infinite Earths

In this year’s San Diego Comic-Con 2019, we learned from producer Marc Guggenheim exactly how The Arrowverse version of ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths‘ is going to be kicking off. For fans of the comic, these new details are going to be great news and might come as a bit of a surprise to those who just watch the shows on The CW for when this crossover begins.

According to Guggenheim:

“Basically, we’re gonna begin — this is an exclusive — we’re gonna begin the way Crisis on Infinite Earths the comic begins, which is the destruction of various parallel universes. And the goal is for us to adapt key moments from the comic, those seminal moments.

In fact, yesterday I pitched to the network what the story was going to be and the best part of the pitch, we have a board that DC made up for me, which is covers from key issues of Crisis on Infinite Earths. And we’re like, ‘We’re gonna do our version of this, we’re gonna do our version of this, we’re gonna do our version of this.’ Our goal is, the thing we’ve been saying, is we’re going to make a list of a 100 cool things that we want to do. And even if we only get to do 50, we’re still doing 50 cool things.”

This crossover will be involved directly with the final season of ‘Arrow’ and also has ‘Flash,’ ‘Supergirl,’ ‘Legends of Tomorrow,’ and ‘Batwoman’ coming into play. Putting this together has been “a real labor of love on everyone’s part,” and Guggenheim insists that “This needs to be special. This is the Holy Grail of DC comic book stories, in my opinion, and we cannot screw this up.”

I’m really wondering how many universes we’re going to be able to take a look at and see destroyed before the actual story picks up. We know that Brandon Routh will reprise his part as Superman in a “Kingdom Come” universe but beyond that, it is still a mystery.

What I think we all want to know is what The Arrowverse is going to be called after ‘Arrow’ ends its final season this year.

Are you looking forward to The CW’s ‘Crisis On Infinite Earths’? Do you feel that Arrow could somehow still end up alive even with his own series coming to an end? Share your thoughts in the comments below!’
