Ben Lewis

Two “Arrowverse” cast members have been promoted to series regulars on their respective shows.  Ben Lewis, who plays the futuristic version of Oliver’s son William Clayton-Queen on ‘Arrow’, and ‘Supergirl’s Andrea Brooks, who has recurred as Eve Teschmacher since 2016, will be playing much larger roles in the upcoming seasons.

Katherine McNamara, who plays Mia Smoak, William’s half-sister, was also promoted to series regular last week.  Joseph David-Jones, who plays Connor Hawke, was also promoted to regular last month, and ‘Arrow’ is now casting a grown-up version of John and Lyla Diggle’s son John Jr.  Based on all that, it looks as though ‘Arrow’ is going to be spending a lot more time in the future timeline.  This may prove significant in the upcoming ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ crossover event this fall.

It should be noted that the upcoming eighth season of ‘Arrow’ is its last and it will consist of only ten episodes, which will begin in October and will wrap up in December, in the midst of the ‘Crisis’ event.

Meanwhile, Eve Teschmacher started off as Lena Luthor’s assistant, but in more recent episodes, it has been revealed that she secretly worked for Lex Luthor for many years.  At the end of Season 4, Eve attempted to skip town, but was stopped by an old lady who warned her:

“Looks like you packed plenty.  But we’ll always find you, Eve, no matter how many wigs you cycle through. … Lex was supposed to move the needle. He failed… Leviathan is everywhere. Leviathan is everyone. And Leviathan is coming.”

Azie Tesfai, who plays Kelly Olsen, sister of James, was announced as returning as a series regular back in March.
