Denis Villeneuve’s reboot of ‘Dune‘ has officially started filming! If that news wasn’t enough to get fans excited, we now have learned that the movie should sound amazing as well due to audio icon Hans Zimmer (‘Gladiator’,’Inception’) officially being tapped to bring the score to life. This will be a reunion of sorts for Villeneuve and Zimmer as they’ve previously worked together on ‘Blade Runner 2049.’ The movie is slated to be shot in Budapest, Hungary, and Jordan.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment has assembled one of the most talented casts in Hollywood to bring about this new cinematic take on Frank Herbert’s iconic novel with Timothée Chalamet taking on the leading role in the movie of Paul Atreides. The screenplay was co-written by Villeneuve, Eric Roth, and Jon Spaihts.
