Wonder-Woman-Gal-Gadot

Well, the audience reactions are starting to surface for ‘Batman V Superman’ and… they’re pretty great!  Some are calling this the best comic book movie ever and Ben Affleck the best Batman ever!  And resoundingly, the votes are in and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman steals the show!

In the comics, Wonder Woman is nearly as powerful as Superman with superhuman strength and flight, plus a lifetime training as the ultimate warrior in the DC Universe.  How much of that will audiences see in ‘Batman V Superman’?

Producer Deborah Snyder (wife of director Zack) recently spoke out about the Amazing Amazon:

“I think that Zack and Geoff Johns sat down and outlined these stories, many of them at least. Really, we did a chart with what their powers were, like what Superman’s powers were, and I think you see a little bit of Wonder Woman. So we get a sense of her power but we didn’t want to do too much because obviously Patty’s going to build up to that and we’re going to learn how she discovers her powers in that movie.”

Wonder Woman has a pretty significant role in ‘Batman V Superman’ but she isn’t the only additional DC hero joining the two titular stars.  Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash also reportedly make cameos, which Snyder also discussed:

“And then with Aquaman and Flash and Cyborg, those are a little bit more cameo, so you see a little bit that there’s something different but we don’t want to give too much away because we were just in the process, and we still are, of developing those scripts.”

Deborah Snyder not only serves as a producer on ‘Batman V Superman’, but ‘Wonder Woman’, ‘Justice League – Part One’ (also directed by Zack) and ‘Aquaman’ and as executive producer on ‘Suicide Squad’ and ‘The Flash’.  She also produced ‘Man of Steel’.

‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Jesse Eisenberg hits theaters on March 25, 2016.

‘Wonder Woman’ directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya, and Lucy Davis will be released on June 23, 2017.
