We know ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ is shaping up to be the defining movie of the ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ saga. Is anyone excited at watching the final battle between Kylo Ren and Rey?  And really, does the First Order triumph or, as Rey stated in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’, does Kylo Ren turn? The clues are planted, the scene is set, see you on December 20th at the theaters! I cannot wait! I am literally salivating!

In any case, onto the Disney+ show that has gained an immense following as of late. I am speaking of ‘The Mandalorian‘. Disney is attempting to attract new subscribers to Disney+ streaming service with the show in order to continue the ‘Star Wars’ property. The show has captivated audiences thus far garnering an online following. Twitter is literally exploding with #TheMandalorian hashtag references.

Joe Russo Claims ‘The Mandalorian’ Was Filmed “In A Way That No One Has Ever Shot Anything Ever Before”

According to recent news from ComicBook.com, we may finally have additional information on a mysterious figure in the show. Giancarlo Esposito reveals the character he is playing in the show is Moff Gideon. As the First Order embarks on its galaxy-spanning mission upon the fall of the Galactic Empire, Moff Gideon is a warden working for the First Order whose mission is simple: “to create order” in a lawless galaxy.

Moff Gideon’s moral alignment has been described as “ambiguous”.

“We don’t quite know whether he’s good or bad, but we do know that people want order. Like children, they need order in their day. They need to be able to know what they’re gonna do or have an idea of what that is, and to go through their day knowing that they have some kind of order, some kind of regimen. And so Moff Gideon is here to create order again.”

The First Order seems bent on stamping out all opposition to its reign, even if this means compromising its moral alignment in order to win the opposition to its cause. It remains unclear how the Mandalorian fits into the bigger picture. And what is his connection to Baby Yoda?
