it-chapter-2

The first installment of Andy Muschietti‘s take on Stephen King’s ‘It’ brought in over $700 million at the box office and the sequel looks to be on track to properly follow that up. As the first chapter took in over $123 million at the box office during the opening weekend early reports have ‘It Chapter 2’ earning at least $100 million from pre-sales and the interest in the film. Now, IMAX is sweetening the pot by sharing a new teaser trailer for the movie that shows why you’ll want to watch this New Line Cinema release on their screens.

In the film, we know that “Evil resurfaces in Derry as director Andy Muschietti reunites the Losers Club—young and adult—in a return to where it all began with It Chapter Two.”

I mean seriously, can we just skip to next month already? I’m a little surprised that they didn’t factor in Halloween into the release schedule though this will surely still be in theaters for the holiday.

With the follow up having all of the children grown up, we know that the cast includes James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough, Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, Bill Hader as Richie Tozier, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, Jay Ryan as Ben Hanscom, Andy Bean as Stanley Uris, and Isaiah Mustafa. Also, the stars from the original will be back to reprise their roles in flashbacks including Wyatt Oleff, Jaeden Martell, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Chosen Jacobs, and Jack Dylan Grazer respectively. Bill Skarsgard is, of course, back as Pennywise to scare audiences once more in the next outing.

Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, “IT CHAPTER TWO” brings the characters—who’ve long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.

We’ll float with ‘It Chapter 2’ on September 6th, 2019!
