Runaways
Hulu

The Runaways will be facing the threat of immortal sorceress Morgan Le Fay played by Elizabeth Hurley, so they’re going to need a little help.  Fans have been clamoring for a crossover between Hulu’s ‘Runaways’ and Freeform’s ‘Cloak & Dagger’, both shows based on characters from Marvel Comics featuring teenage protagonists.  But the fact that the shows were offered through different outlets seems to prevent that.  But following the Disney buyout of 21st Century Fox and all of its assets, that parent company owns both Hulu and Freeform, which appears to make made this crossover possible.

This event was announced in a video for fans by the casts of both shows– ‘Runaways’ Allegra Acosta (Molly), Ariela Barer (Gert), Rhenzy Feliz (Alex), Virginia Gardner (Karolina), Lyrica Okano (Nico), Gregg Sulkin (Chase), joined by Olivia Holt (Tandy/Dagger), and Aubrey Joseph (Ty/Cloak).  You can check it out below:

This will be a one-sided crossover, meaning that Tandy and Ty will pop up on ‘Runaways’ Season 3, but the Runaways won’t appear on ‘Cloak & Dagger’ (maybe next time).

Season 3 of Runaways (releasing all episodes on Friday, Dec. 13) finds the kids frantically searching for captured Chase, Gert, and Karolina, while contending with an unstoppable enemy who has targeted Leslie — or more accurately, the child she’s carrying. Nico eventually draws the gang into a dark realm ruled by the sorceress Morgan le Fay, to be played by Elizabeth Hurley (The Royals).

Meanwhile, ‘Cloak & Dagger’ Season 2 ended with Tandy and Ty on a bus, leaving New Orleans to seek out others in need.  Season 2 aired this spring, but so far Freeform has not ordered a third.

‘Runaways’ Season 3 will be released in its entirety on December 13.  It wasn’t announced in which episode Cloak & Dagger would appear.  The first two seasons of both shows are available to stream on Hulu.
