Elizabeth Hurley is getting witchy on Hulu’s ‘Runaways’ Season 3.  The ‘Austin Powers’ star has been cast as Morgan Le Fay, the classic sorceress from the legend of King Arthur.

Marvel Television chief Jeph Loeb declared:

“Elizabeth Hurley is joining the Marvel Universe, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her portraying one of the most enchanting Marvel characters.”

Morgan Le Fay was a student of Merlin’s and as such is considered the most powerful sorceress of all time.  “With a black crow as her familiar and the ability to 1) enchant objects, 2) manipulate mystic energy and 3) astral project, she is powerful and intelligent while also wielding a cut-throat wit.”

Hurley previously worked with ‘Runaways’ showrunners Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage on the series ‘Gossip Girl’.  Hurley may be best remembered as Vanessa Kensington in ‘Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery’.  Most recently, Hurley starred on the series ‘The Royals’.  Some may recall that she previously portrayed a villain in another comic book project, as Veronica Cale in the never-released ‘Wonder Woman’ pilot, starring Adrianne Palicki.

‘Runaways’ stars Rhenzy Feliz as Alex Wilder, Lyrica Okano as Nico Minoru, Virginia Gardner as Karolina Dean, Ariela Barer as Gert Yorkes, Gregg Sulkin as Chase Stein, and Allegra Acosta as Molly Hayes Hernandez.  Angel Parker, Ryan Sands, Annie Wersching, Kip Pardue, Ever Carradine, James Marsters, Brigid Brannagh, Kevin Weisman, Brittany Ishibashi, and James Yaegashi portray their parents, while Julian McMahon stars as Jonah, their “god.”

‘Runaways’ launched in fall of 2017, while Season 2 was released in December 2018.  Hulu has not announced when Season 3 will be released.

Hulu recently ordered two more series from Marvel Television, ‘Ghost Rider’ starring Gabriel Luna, and ‘Helstrom’ featuring characters known as the Son of Satan and Satana in the comics.
