Jessica Jones Trailer Will Arrive Tomorrow By Releasing A New Poster

‘Jessica Jones’ Season 3 will be released on Netflix on June 14, so in advance of that, a new poster has been released, along with the announcement that a trailer will debut tomorrow, Thursday, June 6.

The poster seems to show the villain for Season 3, but his identity is obscured by a photo of Jones (Krysten Ritter).  To the left is a photo of Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor).  The face on the right is not visible, but it might be Malcolm (Eka Darville).

The caption reads, “Overrated. Overexposed.”  And the official Jessica Jones Twitter account has changed its name to “Jessica Jones is a Fraud.”  Hmmm… what could this mean?  One thing that is certain, is that someone is out to get Jones and possibly ruin her reputation– not that that’s so great to begin with.

Check out the new poster below:

This previously released video tease may offer a better understanding:

As you can see, whoever this mystery figure is, has labeled Jessica as “Weak,” “Alcoholic,” “Hero?” and “Fraud.”  Similar videos were also released targeting Jessica’s friends, Trish (“Puppet,” “Needy,” “Lonely”), Malcolm (“Addict,” “Stalker,” “Opportunist”), Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Ann Moss, “Manipulative,” “Homewrecker,” “Theif”), and even Trish’s mother Dorothy Walker (Rebecca De Mornay, “Fame Hungry,” “Stage Mother,” “Abusive”).

There is also a video featuring a new male character, who is, according to this person, a “Gambler,” “Compromised,” and a “Cheat.”

Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg discussed Season 3, saying:

“Well, Season 3 is an active evolution out of one and two. I really look at three as a complete arc and story. So Season 3 is very much the next step for Jessica.  If Season 1 and 2 were about her digging into her past and facing her demons and looking inwardly and backward, this season is about her now moving forward and finding her place in the world, finding her contribution to the world, and if she even has one. We left season two off with her mother seeing in her that she has the potential of a hero and saying a hero is someone who gives a shit and does something about it. Season 3 is about Jessica doing something about it and trying to live into her mother’s quote for her.”

The third and final season of ‘Jessica Jones’ arrives on Netflix on June 14.
