Joe Hill had a hit on his hands when his novel ‘NOS4A2‘ was released but from the looks of this trailer for the upcoming AMC adaptation, it is hard to tell if they’ve done his work justice! Zachary Quinto is playing a terrifying villain in the series, and I’m stoked to see how he portrays the vampiric beast who goes by the name of Charlie Manx. Manx feasts upon the souls of children and then transports them to a winter world. You almost think that they’d have wanted to release this for the holiday season.

As someone who has read the novel, this does hit quite a few highpoints from the story. However, it didn’t really do the best job at introducing new viewers with no background to the tale. I’m hoping the next major trailer for the series will do a better job at showing off the actual story and how it will fit together.
On a side note, for anyone who has been wondering what that title could stand for just sound it out, and it is quickly shown to say “Nosferatu.”

The supernatural horror series NOS4A2, based on Joe Hill’s bestselling novel of the same name, tells the story of Charlie Manx, a seductive immortal who feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – an icy, twisted Christmas village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day, and unhappiness is against the law. Manx finds his whole world threatened when a young woman in New England discovers she has a dangerous gift.
His evil. Her gift. A fight for their souls. Don’t miss the series premiere of ‘NOS4A2’ on Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 at 9/8c on AMC.
