AMC’s production of Joe Hill’s ‘NOS4A2‘ has been moving forward recently and now the first production still from the series has emerged showing off how different Zachary Quinto (‘Star Trek: Beyond’,’Heroes’) will look. He’ll be having to act quite differently while having this new look as opposed to what his fans are used to while seeing him.
You can check the first look at the character right here!
As to his role in the series, “The show stars Zachary Quinto as the ancient, supernaturally powered Charlie Manx, who periodically rejuvenates by feeding on the life forces of children as he transports them to a fantasy world he has created called Christmasland.” Previously, this description had been expanded upon and called Manx “the seductive adversary who feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland — an icy, twisted Christmas village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. Manx finds his whole world threatened when Vic (Australian actress Ashleigh Cummings) discovers her dangerous gift.”
The above image seems to be sharing that Manx is currently in need of a snack. Quinto himself weighed in on the role by stating that “In the journey, they become these ghoulish creatures, and Charlie Manx is fed with vitality and youth.”
With both ‘The Walking Dead’ and ‘Preacher’ finding success on AMC it seems like the network is carving itself a nice niche in adaptations of darker work which is a trend that doesn’t appear to be going away.
