The CW has released a colorful new poster for the Arrowverse crossover, “Elseworlds,” which kicks off this weekend on ‘The Flash’, Sunday night, followed by ‘Arrow’ on Monday and ‘Supergirl’ on Tuesday.  This event carries a lot of weight.  It will officially establish Gotham City, even though Batman doesn’t appear to live there right now, there is a connection to Mister Freeze and of course, Ruby Rose will debut as Batwoman.  Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman/Clark Kent returns and judging by the poster, does so twice.  Elizabeth Tulloch premiers as Lois Lane.  As if that weren’t enough, both Batwoman and Superman are being considered to headline their own series, depending on how they are received during “Elseworlds.”

The new poster is the typical, heavily enhanced type, clearly editing separate pictures into one composite, but it does include the reveal of… Metallo?  (Is that who that’s supposed to be?)  Superman appears twice, the standard red and blue uniformed version and another in a black costume, flying above.  Lois is holding a huge hammer.  (Huh?)  (But can we talk about Grant Gustin’s butt?  No?  Ugh, fiiiiine…)
