As the vigilante superhero Green Arrow, Stephen Amell has fought his fair share of armies. From Russians to ninjas to aliens to Nazis, the Emerald Archer and the rest of Team Arrow have taken down all threatened Star City. But if the star has it his way, the characters of the popular CW series will be facing off against one of the biggest armies in professional wrestling today.

Amell’s connection to professional wrestling has been well documented. Aside from being a long-time fan, he stepped into the WWE’s squared circle to take on the mischievous Stardust after a bit of a feud throughout 2015. Later, after the wrestler left the land of Vince McMahon last year and reverted back to his Cody Rhodes moniker, the actor seemed to bury the hatchet with his nemesis and actually fought alongside the reigning Ring of Honor champion and his buddies from the stand out New Japan Pro Wrestling stable known as Bullet Club at a recent ROH event in Texas. Now, just as Rhodes was brought into the Arrowverse as Derek Sampson, the ‘Arrow’ leading man hopes to enlist the elite faction for a future episode.

During his appearance at Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in San Jose, Amell shared exactly how he hoped that could happen:

“I’m trying to get those guys to come out to one of these shows, as a group, I think that would be amazing. Those guys are great. Matt and Nick [Jackson AKA The Young Bucks] and Kenny [Omega] and Cody being the main guys I’ve been able to hang out with. I appreciate anyone that does something in an entrepreneurial spirit. Those guys are really paving their own way. I mean, we would decimate them in one episode. They would be the group that we would foil in act one, and then figure out what the real problem was. If Sampson was to come back on the show, it would only make sense that he would be surrounded by his group of Bullet Club friends.”

With Cayden James amassing an army of bad guys, it wouldn’t be a terrible idea for him to look to the Bone Soldiers of the Bullet Club as back up since they have the reputation of being one of the most notorious groups in all of New Japan Wrestling and beyond. After all, with names like The Villain, The Cleaner, and The American Nightmare, they’d be shoe-ins to hang with the likes of Black Siren, Vigilante, and The Dragon in their fight against the Green Arrow. But with the group’s numerous worldwide wrestling commitments (including an attempt at self-financing the largest independent wrestling show of all time), it seems unlikely that they’ll have time to make their way to Star City to cause some trouble with this newly assembled evil alliance. However, as the old pro wrestling saying goes, never say never.

How would you feel about a Bullet Club cameo on ‘Arrow’? Do you want to see the Young Bucks bring their Superkick Party come to Star City? Can Kenny Omega clean up Team Arrow? Will “The Villain” Marty Scurll be a formidable villain for the Green Arrow? And could Hangman Page cause some hang ups for our favorite heroes? Let us know what you think in the comments.

‘Arrow’ starring Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey, Paul Blackthorne, Emily Bett Rickards, Echo Kellum, Rick Gonzalez, and Juliana Harkavy airs on Thursdays at 9:00pm EST on The CW.
