After a ton of theories about the eighth season of ‘American Horror Story’ being titled ‘American Horror Story: Radioactive,’ it seems as if series creator Ryan Murphy has been trolling us, and it goes by a different title entirely.

The name of the upcoming season is actually ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse.’ Oh, and the promotional art with it promises something creepy is coming.

The plot of the upcoming season is still under wraps though we know that there will be a surprise “secret friend” returning to the series and that it is also the ‘Murder House’ and ‘Coven’ crossover season that everyone has been dying to see happen. In some aspects, it will be like ‘The Love Boat and we know that other fan-favorites such as Billie Lourd, Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, and Kathy Bates will be returning with Joan Collins joining the cast in this season which will be set in the future.

It is funny that we know so much about the upcoming season while knowing so little.

The news broke on Twitter and can be viewed right here:

The old rumors have the upcoming series take place after nuclear fallout happening in the United States. This teaser image seems to hint more of a possible coming of the Antichrist. While the two could go hand in hand, it makes you wonder if we actually know anything about the upcoming season for the series or not.

Are you looking forward to ‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’? Do you think that we’ll be seeing a demonic Antichrist this season with the image here or will this still be a bit more “radioactive” as the first teases had hinted it? Will any of the characters end up reprising both their Season 1 and Season 3 roles or will each just have a single part to play? Share your thoughts below!

‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’ will bring the end times to FX on September 12th, 2018!
