Are You Afraid Of The Dark

Nickelodeon’s limited ‘Are You Afraid of the Dark?’ series is due to be released this week, and thanks to a New York Comic Con 2019 panel, the first scene is now available to watch! Watch as the new Midnight Society puts it all on the line at the epically evil Carnival of Doom. Fans who loved the ’90s show are going to be thrilled at the series return while the downside is that we’re only going to be getting 3 new episodes for this limited event. Hopefully, ratings willing; it could signal an order for an ongoing series!

In this limited run, the Midnight Society will once again gather to deliver a tale of terror for the preteen crowd that, if history is any indication, can be enjoyed by viewers of any age!

The new series has a group of middle-schoolers at a carnival trying to enjoy a night out. It feels somewhat reminiscent of the first episode of the original series, which started off in a carnival as well.

‘Are You Afraid of the Dark?’ stars Brandon Routh (‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’), Lyliana Wray (‘Top Gun: Maverick’), Jeremy Ray Taylor (‘IT Chapter Two’), Miya Cech (‘Rim of the World’), Rafael Casal (‘Blindspotting’), and Sam Ashe Arnold (‘Best. Worst. Weekend. Ever.’) It is directed by Dean Israelite and BenDavid Grabinski who co-wrote the upcoming film is serving as the executive producer.

Across the three-hour-long episodes, the series follows members of an entirely new Midnight Society, who tell a terrifying tale of the Carnival of Doom and its evil ringmaster Mr. Tophat, only to witness the shocking story come frightfully to life.

‘Are You Afraid of the Dark?’ returns to Nickelodeon for a three-part event on October 11th, 2019!
