The cast also includes Luke Wilson as Courtney’s step-father Pat Dugan, who inspires Courtney to take on a superheroic identity, while Joel McHale will play Pat’s former mentor Starman/Sylvester Pemberton.  Amy Smart portrays Courtney’s mother, Barbara, while Trae Romano plays Pat’s son, Mike.  The cast also includes Meg Delacy as Shiv/Cindy Burman, Lou Ferrigno Jr. as Hourman/Rex Tyler, Neil Hopkins as Sportsmaster/Lawrence Crock, Nelson Lee as The Dragon King, Joy Osmanski as The Tigress/Paula Crock, Brian Stapf as Wildcat/Ted Grant, and Henry Thomas as Doctor Mid-Nite/Charles McNider.  Christopher James Baker, Yvette Monreal, Cameron Gellman, Neil Jackson, Hunter Sansone, Jake Austin Walker, and  Anjelika Washington have been cast in undisclosed roles.

While Stargirl is obviously the focus of the photo, bits of S.T.R.I.P.E. can also be glimpsed.  After Courtney launches her superheroic career, Pat builds a huge suit of armor that he uses to keep tabs on her.

‘Stargirl’ will premier on DC Universe in early 2020.
