If you’ve been waiting for more shots of the Kaiju, I’m sorry Titans in ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters,’ this trailer is what you’ve been dying to see. While the previous trailers have had me excited, this new one puts everything we’ve seen so far to shame. That alone is a difficult task, but the marketing team has really outdone themselves. There are shots of all of the giant monsters, insight into the human elements of the film, and “Over the Rainbow” has never sounded so good!

I’ve been a fan of director Michael Dougherty‘s work for years, and this new trailer seems to show that he has stepped up his game by taking it to an entirely new level with this upcoming blockbuster. Not only do we get to see Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah, but we get to hear their names as well. On top of this Vera Farmiga shows her character is likely going to be one of the main villains in the film which is something that was hinted at in past interviews but is actually shown here.

The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.
