Mckenna Grace Sabrina

Mckenna Grace is making a career out of playing younger versions of adult actors.  She portrayed a younger version of Jennifer Morrison’s Emma Swan on ‘Once Upon A Time’, Margot Robbie’s Tonya Harding in ‘I, Tonya’, and Kate Siegel’s Theodora in the recent Netflix hit ‘The Haunting of Hill House’.  She will also appears as young Carol Danvers, played as an adult by Brie Larson in next year’s Marvel movie ‘Captain Marvel’.  Now she is set to appear as a younger version of Kiernan Shipka‘s Sabrina in the holiday special episode of Netflix’s ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’, entitled “A Midwinter’s Tale.”  “While the Church of Night celebrates the Winter Solstice, Li’l Sabrina goes out of her way to ask Santa for something special.”

She is just one of a few actors enlisted to appear in upcoming episodes of ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’.  Alexis Denisof and Jedidiah Goodacre are also signed on for recurring roles in the second season.

The Sabrina holiday special is set during the Church of Night’s celebration of the winter solstice. On the longest night of the year, families gather around the Yule fire to sing pagan carols and tell ghost stories. But the holidays are also a time for guests and visitors — both welcome and unwelcome.

Denisof may be best known for being married to his ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ costar Alyson Hannigan.  The pair also co-starred on Hannigan’s long-running sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’.  On ‘Sabrina’, he will portray Adam Masters, the boyfriend of Michelle Gomez’s character Mary Wardwell (except not really).  “Handsome and charming, Adam returns to Greendale after a stint overseas working with Physicians Without Frontiers — unaware that his fiance has been taken over by the demoness Madam Satan.”

In addition to ‘Buffy’, Denisof also appeared on the spin-off ‘Angel’ and has also appeared on ‘H+’, ‘Grimm’, ‘Finding Carter’ and ‘I Love Bekka and Lucy’, the latter of which earned him an Emmy nomination.

Denisof is a regular in the Whedon-verse.  In addition to ‘Buffy’ and ‘Angel’, he appeared in the Whedon-directed ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ and ‘Avengers’ as The Other.

Meanwhile, Goodacre appears as Chad Charming, the son of Prince Charming in Disney’s ‘Descendants’ movies, including ‘The Descendants 3’ which will arrive in 2019.  He also starred as Roman on The CW series ‘The Originals’, and will appear as Kyle on the upcoming Netflix series ‘The Order’.

On ‘Sabrina’, Goodacre will portray the warlock Dorian Gray.  “The owner of Dorian’s Gray Room, an exclusive nightclub, this enigmatic gentleman of an indeterminate age is very good at keeping secrets, especially his own — a cursed portrait he hides from prying eyes.”

Obviously, his character is based on the Oscar Wilde novel ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’.  In recent years, Stuart Townsend, Josh Duhamel, and Reeve Carney have portrayed the character in ‘The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen’, a 2004 adaptation of ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’ and the Sky/Showtime series ‘Penny Dreadful’.

If you need another fix of Netflix’s ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’, the holiday special will be available to stream on December 14.
