Young actors who love J.K. Rowling’s Potterverse should be taking note as Warner Brothers is currently on the look out for five young actors to join the sequel to ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them‘! Not only that but it looks like four of these five will be of existing major characters which leads one to believe that we’re either going to be getting a major flashback scene from Hogwarts or that someone is going to be using an anti-aging spell of some sort.

First up the studio has plans on finding two 16 to 18-year-old actors who will end up portraying Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald as teenagers. Clearly, they’ll need someone who has a slight resemblance to Johnny Depp as Grindelwald and either Jude Law, Richard Harris, or Michael Gambon as Dumbledore. My money is that they’ll mainly focus on Law though as he is the younger iteration of the character.

The studio is also trying to find three actors who are 13 to 16 for tackling Newt Scamander and Leta Lestrange as teenagers as well as a newly introduced character named Sebastian. In these cases, they’ll likely be looking for someone similar to Eddie Redmayne and Zoë Kravitz respectively.

Likely, we’ll be getting a flashback though as on the casting callsheet it’s stated that “In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, readers learned that Albus and Gellert were once friends, before becoming arch-rivals. The casting of their teenage incarnations – as well as those of Newt and Leta – will be sure to intrigue Harry Potter fans, and drive further speculation about the next film’s story. Newt Scamander’s relationships and past remain enigmatic, so any glimpse into his formative years will be huge for the character.”

We’ve heard all kinds of hints at what happened between these two great wizards though now it is looking as if we’ll get the complete look at the story of what actually happened.

Are you looking forward to what sounds like a flashback scene in the sequel to ‘Fantastic Beasts’? Do you know any younger actors who are already working that you’d like to see snag the role? Share your thoughts below!

‘Fantastic Beasts 2′ will premiere on November 16th, 2018.
