We’re a month away from checking out ‘Logan‘ but that isn’t stopping Fox from giving us new teasers for the film, and we’ve got three to share with you today. One of them lines up with what we’ve seen so far and is pretty standard though the other drops a significant change in mutant kind. The original ‘Old Man Logan’ story arc from the comics had Wolverine being mind controlled to take out his friends and family though that doesn’t appear to be what goes down in this telling of the story. However, fallout from another huge story arc does sound like it comes into play.

At least the results of it.

First off, the non-spoiler teaser titles “The Wolverine”:

Pretty on par for the course of what we’ve seen so far as is this one:

Now this one, we’re onto something different.

The key takeaway here is: “Charles, there hasn’t been a new one born in 25 years.”
No mutants in a quarter of a century sound like what happened when Scarlet Witch said: “No More Mutants” or possibly even an extinction level event triggered by someone hostile to mutant kind.

While the Essex Corporation only had a brief appearance at the end of ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ and Mr. Sinister isn’t supposed to be in the film, maybe we’ll find out they created a bioweapon that eradicated new mutants from being born.

It won’t be too much longer until we see exactly how this all plays out.
