wolverine

Hugh Jackman let out a potential tease that he’ll be wearing Wolverine’s iconic costume in the upcoming release of ‘Logan.’ As we’ve already seen him in his standard non-uniform look in every preview you have to suspect that if he does go this route it will either be in a flashback or near the very end to make a statement of what he stands for. Either way, the thought of Jackman finally giving us a look at the costume which long term Wolverine fans have been waiting for is a nice way to send off the series.

My personal wish is that we see it as a flashback as he remembers the events of one of the X-Men comics how it actually happened which would be a great way to give us a few unannounced cameos in the film of older X-Men for one last go, though I wouldn’t put my money on that actually happening. More than likely if it is a flashback it will be with Logan surrounded by the bodies of his friends, conveniently not showing the actors faces and just costumes, to show how mutant kind was decimated.

Here is the Tweet that is hinting at the costume, which could just be showing his love for the character:

With this being Jackman’s final outing as Wolverine we can all hope that he’ll be showing up in his classic look from the comics for the first time. The uniform was hinted at in a deleted scene from ‘The Wolverine’ though it never actually made its way onto the big screen in that film or any of the ‘X-Men’ movies following it.

Do you hope that we’ll see Wolverine finally wearing an X-Men uniform in ‘Logan’ or is Jackman just showing his love for the franchise? Share your thoughts below True Believers!

Directed by James Mangold, ‘Logan’ stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, and Dafne Keen and claws its way into theaters on March 3, 2017.
