SPOILER ALERT: This clip reveals what appears to be a pretty major scene from ‘Doctor Strange’, so proceed with caution!

‘Doctor Strange’ materializes in US theaters this weekend, (It has already taken in $86 million globally) and the early reaction is that this is not only a must-see (91% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes!), but a must-see in 3D!  We’ve already caught a few glimpses of the reality warping special effects in this film which involves traveling between dimensions, but this newest (and hopefully last) clip from the movie really offers a look at the amazing visuals in this Scott Derrickson-directed action flick.

In the clip, we see Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Baron Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) fleeing from powerful sorcerer Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen) and his zealots and if you thought the invading Chitauri eff’d the Big Apple up in ‘Avengers’, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

Check out the new clip below:

But question: Isn’t it called the Cloak of LEVITATION?  Maybe Doctor Strange hasn’t learned how to properly use it yet at this point.

But those effects, right?  Pretty amazing!

A couple of weeks ago, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige expressed:

“We’re 14 movies in and at the end of the day we have to push the boundaries. You need something different and certainly, this movie and this character [Doctor Strange] fits all of that. Tapping into other dimensions, tapping into sort of that supernatural realm of the Marvel Comic Universe is gonna come in handy, you know, as we move forward in the cinematic universe, so the timing is perfect.”

Synopsis:

From Marvel Studios comes “Doctor Strange,” the story of world-famous neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange whose life changes forever after a horrific car accident robs him of the use of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he is forced to look for healing, and hope, in an unlikely place—a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj. He quickly learns that this is not just a center for healing but also the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying our reality. Before long Strange—armed with newly acquired magical powers—is forced to choose whether to return to his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence.
