‘Thor’ brought an element of the metaphysical to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but with the release of ‘Doctor Strange’, we’ll see in the introduction of full blown magic. Powerful, unpredictable magic.
Marvel has already released several ‘Doctor Strange’ trailers and promo clips, but in case you can’t get enough, here is one more!
In the comics, not only does Stephen Strange manipulate powerful mystical forces, he possesses various talismans that grant him additional abilities. One of his most famous tools is his Cloak of Levitation, which allows him to fly. But in this video, it seems to have a mind of its own. (Nice to see the signature Marvel humor is still present in ‘Doctor Strange’.) The clip also features never-before-seen footage from the movie.
This movie doesn’t open until November, so expect to see more new clips and photos as that date approaches.
Synopsis:
Marvel’s Doctor Strange follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.
‘Doctor Strange’ is directed by Scott Derrickson and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the title hero, with Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One, Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer, Michael Stühlbarg as Nicodemus West, Benedict Wong as Wong, and Mads Mikkelsen, Scott Adkins and Amy Landecker in mystery roles. The film will appear in theaters on November 4, 2016.
