We’re about a year from the movie adaptation of ‘Assassin’s Creed‘ and 20th Century Fox has released a brand spanking new shot from the film. In it, we have Michael Fassbender‘s Callum Lynch and Ariane Labed’s character in costume and on a rooftop preparing for action. Not only that but Fassbender has shared once more that fans will be happy with how this video game adaptation will turn out. Of course, we’ve heard that before of just about every video game adaptation to date where the majority haven’t been well received. With a rich backstory it will be interesting to see if this is one of the first blockbusters that can pull it off.

Lets take a look at these two in costume!

While not fan of the franchise prior to taking the role, Fassbender has immersed himself in the game to get a better idea of the world that they are creating and says:

“I hadn’t played it before these guys approached me. I’ve played it since mainly to get an idea of the physicality of the character. We’re striving to find something special. We believe the whole concept around it is special and want to service that the best we can. The fans are really passionate: very specific and they expect accuracy and historical detail. We’re really trying to capitalize and feed on and enjoy the fun element. We’re working hard to make this something special.”

It all sounds oh so very special. We can only hope that it will end up being the case. Of course with ‘Warcraft’ preempting it as a potential blockbuster earlier in the year the stakes by critics will be that much higher.
