When the first trailer for ‘Terminator Genisys‘ dropped last month, long-time fans of the franchise may have had some feelings of déjà vu since things felt strangely familiar, yet very different. We still have characters that we’ve come to know and love from the classic 1984 film like John Connor, Kyle Reese, and Sarah Connor, but this time around they’ll be played by Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, and Emilia Clarke. And the human cast isn’t the only ones undergoing a bit of a cosmetic change either.

One of the most identifiable parts of the ‘Terminator’ franchise is the Series 800 Terminator, which is better known as the T-800. Over the years, Skynet’s first cybernetic organism has appeared in just about every chapter of the story from ‘The Terminator’ to ‘Terminator Salvation’ (and various other forms of entertainment in between). Of course, the fifth installment won’t be without them, but they’ll be sporting a bit of a cleaner, sleeker look with the glowing red eyes are definitely still intact. Though we’ve gotten a couple quick glances in the trailer, USA Today offers a better peek at the latest incarnation of the iconic robot. You can check it out below, followed by the official synopsis of the movie:

The year is 2029. John Connor, leader of the resistance continues the war against the machines. At the Los Angeles offensive, John’s fears of the unknown future begin to emerge when TECOM spies reveal a new plot by SkyNet that will attack him from both fronts; past and future, and will ultimately change warfare forever.
