More DC Multiverse Inbound

If you’re a fan of the Batman ‘Arkham’ video game series then you’re in luck! Mattel is bringing out even more figures based on the popular franchise as a part of their 4″ scale DC Multiverse line! This time around we’ve got a few more single carded figures and even some figure 2-packs down the line! These items were revealed through pre-orders that were posted to Entertainment Earth this week and discovered by the team over at AFI who have speculated that some of them might not be 100% accurate!

As far as single release figures, the figures posted for pre-order include ‘1966 Batman,’ ‘Batman Beyond’ and ‘Deathstroke.’ The ‘1966 Batman’ figure looks to be less of an actual Adam West Batman ’66 design and more of a repaint of a basic Batman figure with the character skin that was used in the ‘Batman: Arkham Origins’ game. It’s also worth noting that the figure posted as ‘Batman Beyond’ looks much more like the ‘Arctic Armor’ Batman skin from the game than the Batman Beyond skin, and has likely been listed as such in error. On the bright side, there WAS a ‘Batman Beyond’ skin in that game, so it’s likely we will also be receiving a figure based on that design as well. Deathstroke is pretty much spot on accurate to the character.

Beyond the single-pack figures, there are two figure 2-packs coming our way! Each figure 2-pack comes with Batman and one of his larger villains; with one 2-pack including Clayface and one including Solomon Grundy. The figures in these packs are based on the characters appearances in the ‘Arkham’ video games, and are set to a 4″ scale. Each figure pack here also includes a jail cell display base.
These figures are all expected to hit shelves in February of 2015.

“Want Some Candy?”

While there hasn’t been much information released just yet, the team at NECA has teased another new Predator 8-Bit styled figure in the near future via twitter! This time around it’s looking to be a City-Hunter Predator, as opposed to the Jungle-Hunter we got last time. Expect more details from NECA soon!

Batman and Superman Are Real Action Heroes

Medicom recently released new images of their upcoming Real Action Heroes Batman and Superman figures. These new figures stand around 12” tall and will sport the legendary DC Comics heroes in their modernized New 52 styled costumes. These two are expected to be hitting stores sometime around August of 2015.
