An award show known as ‘The Game Awards 2014’ is coming up this Friday, December 5, and is set to feature a host of “world premiere” game announcements.
Hosted and produced by established game industry journalist and presenter Geoff Keighley, ‘The Game Awards 2014’ is a brand new Oscars-esque award show for videogames in Las Vegas that nominates and rewards the best titles of this year. Unlike previous similar videogame awards shows of the past that were tied to specific TV networks, ‘The Game Awards 2014’ is purely independent.
According to various posts on Keighley’s Twitter, the show will debut a dozen or so “world premiere” announcements of many upcoming games, including the online mode of ‘Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom’ entitled ‘Metal Gear Online’, and new looks at Sony exclusive titles ‘Bloodborne’ and ‘The Order: 1866’.
For those who can’t physically attend the show, ‘The Game Awards 2014’ will be broadcasted at 6 PM Pacific/ 9 PM Eastern through a variety of outlets such as Xbox Live, PSN, Wii U, Twitch and Steam.
