During a press conference for ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier‘ it would appear that Samuel L. Jackson decided to make a joke that fully endorsed an online porn streaming service known as RedTube. While this kind of an answer doesn’t at all seem out of character for the actor, what happened next is proving to be entertaining. It isn’t every day that porn stars call out Jackson on his comments and try to form a boycott against his movies.

Wait, what happened?

During an interview, a reporter asked the panel of actors what pieces of technological advancements that the film’s central character, Steve Rogers, should be aware of that he wasn’t aware of previously. Chris Evans mentioned music and wants his take of Captain America to learn to love The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. Scarlett Johansson, in a very un-Black Widow response, thinks that Steve should know about cake pops. (Offhand, who doesn’t love more cake, am I right?) That probably wouldn’t help his physique at all unless he is doing his training on a daily basis. The one that really shook things up, however, was Samuel L. Jackson’s answer who offered up that Rogers should be aware of RedTube. I don’t think Nick Fury would have found that response entertaining but there were quite a few laughs in response to it. Which was great! Until, that is, his answer hit those inside the porn community.

Apparently some porn stars including Catalina Cruz and Tanya Tate aren’t too appreciative about the porn that people should be paying for going out for free. While not appreciative of Jackson’s answer, the actresses are willing to forgive and forget, assuming an apology is issued. To give into his want for free porn, they are even willing to cut him a deal! According to Tate’s press statement:

“I would gladly send a catalog of adult movies I have directed to Mr. Jackson if he would be so kind as to recant the comment.”

As Tanya has dressed up as quite a few superheroines in the past (hey, I had to do a Google image search here), this might be a good way for Fury to recruit for the next Avengers film!

Now RedTube can’t be directly compared to sites like The Pirate Bay where people go to steal media. The site actually does have licensing deals with many of the biggest pornography studios in the world. The problem is, they don’t have deals with all of them and some of their affiliates sites do stream copyrighted material without permission.

So what do you think about Jackson’s comments about RedTube? Do you really think he should apologize or should some people not be so quick to jump on his case? Share your thoughts below!

Before you do, though, here is an added bonus of Tanya Tate in various super hero and villain outfits that she cosplays to conventions. NOW whose opinion are you listening to?
