One of the most exciting parts of attending a convention is checking out what sorts of exclusives are available. Whether it’s toys, artwork, variant covers, or apparel, con exclusives are often very cool and very sought after. And while there are tons of cool things to get at every con, very few cons do cooler exclusives than San Diego Comic-Con.

For all you Marvel fans out there that are planning on making the trip to the Mecca of Pop Culture this year to grab some cool swag, the House of Ideas has provided you with a detailed list of exactly what they’ll have in store for those lucky attendees who can get to their booth fast enough. And for those of us who can’t go… Well, at least we get to see the cool stuff right?

Marvel.com tells us that they are bringing along a bunch of cool stuff like ‘Coulson Lives’ shirts, iPhone cases, and glass tumblers featuring your favorite heroes from some of the industries best artists, but there are three pretty amazing incentives that are worth getting if you can.

When it comes to Marvel, it always goes back to the books, so they’re offering a few awesome variant covers that are sure to turn some heads. The first one is for ‘Deadpool Kills Deadpool’ #1 courtesy of Gurihuru. Limited to only 1500 copies and available for $10.00, this cover features the Merc With A Mouth surrounded by the stable of Marvel heroes, except they’re reimagined as ponies. For all you Bronies who happen to be fans of Deadpool, I think you know what you’ll be going after once the doors open at SDCC.

The next variant cover pays tribute to one of the oldest and most cherished con practices: cosplaying. The incredible J. Scott Campbell gives us a look at who the ladies of ‘Uncanny X-Men’ would cosplay as if they walked the hallowed halls of Comic-Con. Naturally, since it would be fairly simple for them to get the materials together, they’d dress up as each other! Like the ‘Deadpool book’, the ‘Uncanny X-Men’ #8 SDCC variant is also limited to 1500 copies and yours for the low price of $10.00.

Finally, no artist has taken the business by storm like Skottie Young in recent history. Since Marvel NOW began, the artist has contributed variant covers to every issue one in the line. Those variants are highly sought after by just about everyone and they’re adorable as hell, so it’s not surprising that Marvel asked him to do something for this year’s convention. Except this time, it’s much bigger.

Limited to 350 pieces and (technically) priced at $150, Young has produced an epic 24 x 36 theatrical poster for ‘The Avengers’ featuring his take on Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. The reason why I say that it’s technically priced at $150 is because you can only get it by purchasing the Phase 1 Marvel Cinematic Universe Blu-Ray Collector’s Set at the Marvel booth. But if you do dish out the dough and land yourself one of these super rare posters, Skottie Young will be on hand to sign it for you.

SF.com readers, do any of these San Diego Comic-Con exclusives catch your eye? If you’re going to the con, will you be picking up any of these? If you’re not going, will you be scouring eBay on the day after the con to see if you can get your hands on one? Let us know in the comments below.
