Russell Tovey makes his debut in the Arrowverse in Part 2 of the ‘Crisis On Earth-X’ crossover event which spans all four of  The CW’s DC superhero shows, ‘Supergirl’, ‘Arrow’, ‘The Flash’ and ‘Legends of Tomorrow’.  Tovey portrays Ray Terrill, a.k.a. The Ray, a solar powered hero who dwells on a parallel world where the Nazis won World War II.  It appears, according to these photos, that one of The Ray’s allies is none other than Earth-X’s version of Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller) who goes by the name of Citizen Cold.

Also presented in this batch of photos, from Part 2, are the first looks at the super villains.  We already knew that the heroes would have to contend with Dark Arrow, Dark Flash and Overgirl (an evil version of Supergirl), but there’s at least one more dark version of an existing hero.  And one of these Dark characters has a surprising identity under his hood.

Check out these pictures from the ‘Arrow’ episode of the crossover (All photos courtesy Bettina Strauss/The CW):

If you saw the batch of photos from Part 1 (‘Supergirl’), you saw a cool new team-up between Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz) and Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh).  It appears that carries over into Part 2.

Yes, the first major twist is that Dark Flash on Earth-X isn’t Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) but Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh).  Of course, we know there are multiple different Harrison Wells(es?) over the multiverse.  On what Earth did this one originate?

Here we have Melissa Benoist as Overgirl, the Nazi counterpart to her regular character Supergirl.

The Dark Heroes/Villains assemble.  As we see here, Dark Arrow is Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell).

There is at least a fourth Dark version of another hero.  Here is Dark Wild Dog (Dark Dog?) played by Rick Gonzalez.

‘Legends of Tomorrow”s Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell) takes aim.

Even though last year’s ‘Invasion!’ crossover made it clear which show you were watching, that isn’t the case with ‘Crisis On Earth-X’.  Amell said:

“This year it is a four-hour movie.  The note that I got when I was speaking with one of our producers is, “When you tune in… if you didn’t know what order the shows were in, you shouldn’t be able to tell.”

Joining Amell and Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, are guest stars Benoist, Lotz, Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash and Candice Patton as Iris West.

Finally one last look at Tovey in costume.  There will be some pics of him dressed very different in the Part 3 photos.

‘Crisis On Earth-X’ kicks off on Monday night, November 27 on The CW, with ‘Supergirl’ at 8pm EST, followed by ‘Arrow’ on a special night.  The crossover event concludes with ‘The Flash’ and ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ on Tuesday night, November 28.
