It’s the wedding of the centuries when it comes to comic book TV series. The upcoming ‘Crisis On Earth-X’ crossover between ‘Supergirl’, ‘Arrow’, ‘The Flash’ and ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ kicks off with the nuptials between ‘The Flash”s lead character, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Iris West (Candice Patton). And the best and brightest from multiple worlds and timelines will converge to celebrate the joyous event. But unfortunately, it won’t only be the good guys in attendance. Objecting to this union are an army of stormtroopers.
Get a front row seat to the holy union and its interruption below. (All photos courtesy Bettina Strauss/The CW):
Not surprisingly, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) is one of Barry’s groomsmen. They haven’t always seen eye-to-eye, but Ollie played a huge role in helping Barry assume his superheroic identity. Oliver’s date is none other than Felicity Snow (Emily Bett-Rickards). This appears to be the pre-wedding dinner as Felicity is wearing a different gown from the one she is later shown wearing as one of Iris’ bridesmaids.
Here, they are joined by Kara Danvers/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and appear to be speaking to Joe West (Jesse L. Martin).
Here, Joe and Iris chat with Joe’s son Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) sporting a slick new hairdo. Joe’s date is Cecile Horton (Danielle Nicolet).
In case you forgot, Barry and Kara had a brief flirtation, but they realized they were better as friends.
Team Flash: Guys edition. Barry chats with Wally and Cisco (Carlos Valdes).
A couple of the Legends of Tomorrow are in attendance: Jefferson Jackson (Franz Drameh) and Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell).
Mick is inexplicably seated next to Barry’s boss Captain Singh (Patrick Sabongui).
Kara is seated with Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and her sister Alex (Chyler Leigh). Behind them, you can see Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) and Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber).
As you can see, Barry’s groomsmen are Cisco and Oliver.
Joe may be pulling double duty as Father of the Bride and Best Man.
Here, Kara either addresses the crowd or possibly serenades them.
The pictures appear to be out of order. Here, something clearly interrupts the happy occasion.
Iris’ bridesmaids, Felicity and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker).
Back to that interruption, Jax and Mick seem ready for trouble.
Good thing Ollie brought his formal bow.
Here we get our first look at the Nazi stormtroopers from Earth-X.
While it’s cool to see a bunch of heroes gathered together, it may be even cooler to see smaller team-ups we wouldn’t normally. In this episode, it looks as though Alex and Sara combine their combat training to take on their foes.
Does the show go on? Do Barry and Iris wind up having a happy wedding despite the Nazi interruption? Or, are the pictures just scrambled?
‘Crisis On Earth-X’ kicks off on Monday night, November 27 on The CW, with ‘Supergirl’ at 8pm EST, followed by ‘Arrow’ on a special night. The crossover event concludes with ‘The Flash’ and ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ on Tuesday night, November 28.
