,  which will now have seen both Dean and Sam behind bars for six weeks. A month and a half is a long time to have to sit and stew but we’ve got some details on their imprisonment.

So, while quite a few have believed that British Men of Letters are the true source of their incarceration that just isn’t the case and it was exactly what it looked like.

According to Executive Producer Andrew Dabb:

“It was really the government that grabbed them. It was really the Secret Service.”

There is no need to worry though if you thought that the shadowy British group aren’t going to be involved:

“… the Men of Letters, like Mary [and] Castiel, are going to have a very specific reaction.”

While we don’t know exactly how they are going to deal with this and what it means for the hunters, Jensen Ackles stated:

“We’re going to see that storyline get fleshed out in the second half of the season. There are going to be some recruitment attempts, some disagreements about methods of hunting, and that will certainly boil to a point.”

However, just because their weapons and way of doing things have proven to be quite successful in light of recent episodes, Ackles added:

“I think we’ll find out in the future that maybe their methods aren’t the best way.”

Jared Padalecki compared the upcoming season to Season 6:

“… reminiscent of Season 6 when Sam was soulless and kind of behaved much the same way the British Men of Letters are behaving now, at least in their hunting tactics. It’s fun to revisit that: Would you kill two people to save three? Would you kill 10 to save 12? You’re still killing 10 people. Would you try to find the middle ground?”

Dabb finished talking about how the above situation will play quite importantly to the dynamics coming up when the duo sees both the “good and the bad” of the British Men of Letters:

“Because the truth is, even if you disagree with their methods – and Sam and Dean certainly will in some cases – they get results. So that becomes the bigger punch [in the second half of the season]: Do the ends justify the means? And if so, what means are our guys willing to tolerate?”

Are you looking forward to the Winchester brothers?
