castlevania

A year ago we heard that a TV show based on ‘Castlevania’ was in the works before everything got quiet and not an update was heard. However, one of those who was rumored to be involved in the project just vaguely mentioned on the Nick Animation podcast that a series he was going to work on was happening.

The person in question was Fred Seibert who was the Executive Producer on ‘Adventure Time’. What he had to say was pretty vague but he stated:

“We have a project right now that we’re doing that needs to go unnamed, based on one of the most world-famous video games of the last 30 years, that we’ve had in our shop for 12 years without being able to get it started. But there were great characters and a great story, and eventually, we got it going.”

The reason we’re all thinking that might have to deal with the Belmont clan, Dracula, and his son Alucard, though, is what producer Adi Shankar posted on Facebook about a year ago which was:

A lot can change in a year, however since word of this came out he took to Facebook again and stated:

Considering how both of those statements opened, I think we’re going to be getting something special here. I’m just hoping that the mini-series mentioned in the first comment actually ends up being a full-fledged ongoing series.

Only time will tell.

Are you excited about the idea of ‘Castlevania’ showing up on the small screen? Do you think it should be a mini-series or an ongoing one? Share your thoughts below!
