Fans of the Valiant Comics anti-hero ‘Bloodshot’ finally have reason to rejoice as Sony Pictures Entertainment has released the first trailer for the upcoming feature film. Vin Diesel (‘Guardians of the Galaxy’,’Pitch Black’) will be playing the hero of this story. Of course, anyone who has read the comics or now watched the trailer know that he is actually an anti-hero and won’t be out to save the day.
Joining Diesel on the big screen will be Guy Pearce, Eiza Gonzalez, Sam Heughan, Toby Kebbell, Lamorne Morris, and Talulah Riley.

For this trailer, Sony also revealed the following synopsis for the film:
Based on the bestselling comic book, Vin Diesel stars as Ray Garrison, a soldier recently killed in action and brought back to life as the superhero Bloodshot by the RST corporation. With an army of nanotechnology in his veins, he’s an unstoppable force –stronger than ever and able to heal instantly. But in controlling his body, the company has sway over his mind and memories, too. Now, Ray doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not – but he’s on a mission to find out.

The first trailer seems to confirm that this will be the origin of Bloodshot as we don’t see him having the iconic look from the comics quite yet. That is, assuming that we get to see him with the pale while look from the comics. Written by Eric Heisserer and Jeff Wadlow, the film is directed by Dave Wilson, and hopefully, we’ll be seeing at least one look of the character as he should be before the movie is released.
