Not only does Valiant have an extensive and rich set of characters and stories but with ‘Bloodshot‘ being the first to make it to the big screen, we’ve been dying to know more about the film. This is potentially the launch of a darker and more action-packed cinematic universe, so those of us who couldn’t get enough of ‘Logan’ and ‘Deadpool’ have wanted to know what kind of a take on these characters we’d end up getting. At long last, the synopsis for ‘Bloodshot’ has made its way online thanks to leading actor Vin Diesel.

Diesel heavily supports Paul Walker’s Reach Out WorldWide charity organization and used their most recent Game4Paul event to promote the film. Not only did Diesel stream from the set of the film which is currently in production but also shared the following description for the movie:

Bloodshot follows Ray Garrison aka Bloodshot, a deceased soldier resurrected by weapons contractor Rising Spirit Technologies through the use of nanotechnology. Suffering from total memory loss but imbued with an array of staggering new abilities, Ray struggles to reconnect with who he was while learning what sort of weapon he has become…aided by a team of fellow augmented combatants codenamed Chainsaw.

The movie will likely be a plus for 80s actions fans as it is being described as being similar to “the classic 1980s tentpoles like ‘Robocop,’ ‘Terminator,’ and ‘Total Recall.'” This will be the second live-action take on the character but the first to show up on the big screen. Previously, Bloodshot had been included in the streaming miniseries ‘Ninjak Vs. The Valiant Universe.’

We haven’t been able to see much from the upcoming film so far, but a recent comic cover showed us what the actor might look like in it.

Sony and Valiant hope to have ‘Bloodshot’ in theaters by February 21, 2020.
