Not only did Simone Missick do an outstanding job as Misty Knight on the Marvel Netflix shows, but it seems that she is either a huge comic geek or did some heavy reading as research for the part.
While the Netflix Marvel shows will likely never be continued in any form, Missick knows what direction she hopes Misty Knight would have taken had things continued or if Marvel Studios were ever officially to include the characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

To start with, she shared how much she enjoyed the role:
“For me it was my first huge opportunity. And so to be able to be introduced to a bunch of people as Misty Knight, as a superhero, as a strong, capable badass woman doing fight scenes and stunts. It was a dream.”
As to where she wanted the character to go, part of that wouldn’t be possible due to the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ but it does feel as if she’s read the comics:
“I would have loved to see her get knighted with a bomb bionic gold arm Tony Stark made. I would have wanted Tony to come down himself and give it to me. And then I would have loved to see her hanging out with Sam Wilson as Captain America. Do you know what I mean? With a big full-on fro, no longer on the police force. And then on the weekends running things with Colleen Wing as Daughters of the Dragon.”
Many of these arcs reflect exactly what had happened to her character in the comics and I’m sure fans everywhere would have loved to see them occur on screen. Who knows? Maybe Netflix and Disney can work out the rights before ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘ starts filming and they can find a way to include her.
One can dream.
