Daneil Bruhl

Daniel Bruhl will be reprising the role of Zemo from ‘Captain America: Civil War‘ in the upcoming Disney+ series ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘ and now is teasing his comic accurate look! While we didn’t see Helmut Zemo called Baron Zemo in the film or don a costume, that appears to be changing moving forward.

Bruhl took to his Instagram account to share both a clear look at himself without the iconic purple mask and a fuzzy look at him in it which you can check out right here:

The exact plot of ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ is still a mystery but the new series will have Anthony Mackie donning a Captain America uniform and wielding the shield which Steve Rogers gifted to him at the end of ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Joining Bruhl in a returning role will be Emily VanCamp who is back as Sharon Carter.

With Zemo in a costume, it is likely that he will prove to be the villain of this series though it is unclear if his beef will specifically be with Mackie’s Captain America (as his previous vendetta was directly tied to The Avengers who were involved in the destruction of Sokovia in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron.’ ) With that in mind, the original Captain America, Black Widow, Vision, and Iron Man are now out of the picture, and there has been no word of an appearance by Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, or Wanda.

It is hard to even guess at what his new agenda might be in the series.
