‘Arrow’ is returning for its eighth and final season, so it seems like a great time to look back. In this first trailer, which premiered at San Diego Comic-Con, LaMonica Garrett‘s Monitor narrates a look back to the beginning of the series, to Oliver’s shipwreck up to the present and even a look into the future, with Katherine McNamara, Ben Lewis, and Joseph David-Jones as Future Mia, William and Connor, respectively. Along the way, the clip touches on many milestones from the show’s history, including some of Oliver’s greatest loves, friendships, and bitterest foes.
You may recall that during last year’s ‘Elseworlds’ crossover, Oliver made a pact with the Monitor to save Barry and Kara. Now the time has come to pay the piper, and do “whatever the multiverse requires to survive the crisis that is looming. When it is time.”
Something– and someone– big is coming with the massive ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ crossover event, which will set the tone for the future of the Arrowverse. ‘Arrow’ will end after the next ten episodes, so the show won’t be part of that future, but will Stephen Amell’s Oliver or any of the other cast members carry on elsewhere? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
But the new clip shows Felicity, perhaps the most important character on the show next to Oliver himself, played by Emily Bett Rickards, who has already broken the news that she won’t be back to appear in this last batch of episodes. Also shown are Tommy Merlyn (Colin Donnell) and Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra), both of whom will be back in some capacity. (Donnell also returned for a guest appearance last season.)
