In 'For All Mankind' Apple Asks "What If The Space Race Had Never Ended?"

Apple TV+ is pushing hard to get into the streaming space and one of their first shows will be ‘For All Mankind’ which the studio has released a trailer for. The show stars Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, Wrenn Schmidt, Shantel VanSanten, Sarah Jones and Jodi Balfour. Behind the camera are Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis, Matt Wolpert, and Ben Nedivi all sharing responsibilities as executive producers.

The concept for the series gives us an alternate Earth where the USSR had beaten the United States of America to the moon and how that changed the course of history. The Space Drama is an Apple TV+ original that has a lot of talent both behind and in front of the camera.

Here’s the official synopsis from Apple:

For All Mankind is created by Emmy® Award winner Ronald D. Moore (Outlander, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica), Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi. Told through the lives of NASA astronauts, engineers, and their families, For All Mankind, presents an aspirational world where NASA and the space program remained a priority and a focal point of our hopes and dreams.

It is interesting to see how important NASA became to our culture when they had lost as opposed to how little influence the agency appears to have in modern times. I’m quite curious to see how this one plays out, but a single show isn’t nearly enough for me to even consider signing up for the service when I’ve already got Disney+ to add into my rotation of far too many streaming accounts.

Are you looking forward to checking out ‘For All Mankind’? What did you think of the first trailer for the series? Will you be investing in an Apple TV+ account and if you’re undecided what would sway your opinion? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
